Empower ED: Girls Club (Grade 6)

This program focuses on healthy self-esteem and provides a safe space for girls to come together to learn about issues of concern through social interaction, topic discussions, field trips, exploring inspiring literature, and creative expression through the arts. Participants will meet with professionals to learn about different professions and the qualities, mindset, and life skills required to succeed.

Our girls’ leadership and empowerment programs aim to help young people navigate a crucial life stage. Those in their early adolescent years possess altruism, a sense of justice, an eagerness to learn about the universe, and a desire to contribute to constructing a better world.

This program helps girls form a strong moral identity and empowers them to contribute to their well-being, communities, and the world. Youth facilitators, EmpowerED Girls alumnae, receive training and mentorship from NECS staff.
