100cameras x New Era Creative Space Photography Workshop
This spring, NECS partners with 100cameras to provide an 8-week photography workshop. This program is designed to inspire young people to “exercise their eye” with the camera.
100cameras works with youth worldwide to teach them to process and tell their stories through photography in a way that impacts how they view themselves and their role in their community.
Participants will learn basic photography principles and will spend time outdoors hiking and walking along downtown Peekskill taking photographs which will culminate in an online exhibit at 100cameras.org. In order to support the teaching artists and cover administrative costs, fees are being charged by NECS and not 100cameras.
- Appropriate for: 6th to 12th Grade
- Dates: April 25 - June 20, 2022 (Weekly on Mondays - 8 sessions) excluding May 30
