Multicultural Multi-media art class for students ages 10 – 12 where participants will learn about and explore art from different cultures through drawing, painting, clay, and sculpture. This class includes drawing, painting, clay, and sculpture work as well as incorporating their favorite skills into a final group project. Each week participants will learn the basics of getting started on an art project and what they can do to become successful at bringing their ideas to life. ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Madeline (Maddy) Cairl is a senior in high school and is passionate about art. She is a former camp counselor at Peekskill’s creative arts camp and on top of that, teaches the younger generation of Ridvan’s girls rising group. She often incorporates art into their learning and has decided to take the next step and make a class centered around doing so. She is seeking a career in the arts and would love to have this type of experience.
