INTRO TO FILMMAKING
In this camp, students will learn how a short film is produced by working as a film crew. Together the camp will produce a film of their own. In each class, roles are rotated so that each student will have a hand playing a different role in the film. Students will learn how to prepare and set up a scene and how films are shot and edited to achieve the final piece. Together the camp will script the short film. The final edited film will be uploaded and shared. This course combines hands-on project based learning using cameras with personalized in-class lessons. Discover how to optimize your project for video.

Taught by Curious on Hudson Instructor
Curious-On-Hudson offers engaging inquiry-based classes led by professionals in science, technology, engineering and the applied arts. Our offerings include STEM and STEAM-based enrichment as classes and summer camps. From out loft space on the banks of the Hudson River in Dobbs Ferry, NY, we are able to utilize our unique situation to develop engaging programming that explores the natural and built environment in a creative, hands-on exploratory way. We offer programs at our location and at off-site locations based upon the needs of the communities we serve. The key distinguishing factors of our organization is the belief that all children, regardless of background and means, possess a natural enthusiasm to explore and that by pairing highly passionate instructors with interesting and engaging curriculum, we can uncover the authentic interests of each participant in our programs.
