Dance, Reading, & Arts and Crafts w/ Just the Place
Dance, art, and literacy are combined in this one-hour program to provide students with an interdisciplinary experience of dance, literacy, arts, crafts, and storytelling. Students will learn different dance styles and will receive copies of the books used as inspiration during the literacy and art portion of the class. There will be a performance at the end of the season.

- Dates: April 21 - June 9, 2022 (Weekly on Thursdays - 8 sessions)

Sharon SimmonsTeaching Artist
Mrs. Simmons-Wright possesses a Masters Degree in Education and has over 30 years of experience.as an instructor, staff developer and college professor. Sharon is an experienced professional dancer, dance instructor and choreographer. She studied The Graham Technique at Brooklyn College under the direction of June Lewis and Liturgical Dance under the direction of Dr. Joyce Harrigan. Sharon has performed throughout The United States, as a principal member, with The Shooting Star Performers as well as The Joyce Harrigan Dance Company. Sharon has also choreographed many award -winning performances.
