MARLA RATNER

Marla began her career in entertainment producing documentaries at HBO. Eager to
combine her production experience with her passion for comedy, she was brought on to
help open and eventually run the NYC office of comedy production and management
firm, Principato-Young Entertainment , now Artists First.

Ratner left Principato-Young to focus solely on producing, creating and showrunning
projects for both network and cable outlets including NBC, TBS, Comedy Central, A&E,
MTV, IFC, and others, with some of the most respected names in comedy today.

Currently, Marla is focusing on cause work and social impact content. Her cause work includes: Serving on the Board of Directors for the non-profit New Era Creative Space which offers kids creative and socially conscious programs in Peekskill, NY; working as the Content Producer for non-profit GOTV organization The Hometown Project; consulting on start-up impact driven media company House Studios; and developing and co-producing an educational program for teenage girls with the non-profit theater company Women’s Expressive Theater called the Risk Takers Series .
