NECS is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that operates with limited resources, relying on support from the community to sustain our programming. Because we know there are families in need, we offer a sliding scale for program fees. While we don’t require supporting documents to demonstrate financial hardship, we do ask that families pay as much as they can afford. This is what enables us to offer our programs to families in more difficult financial situations.

NECS’ program fees help to cover the expenses of running the program and allow us to provide scholarships and sliding scale fees. We will not be able to offer honor-based sliding scale discounts to those in need if those who can afford the fee choose to pay a discounted amount. When registering for a program, please select the highest fee your family can afford.

NECS will never turn away a family due to an inability to pay. If you require additional financial assistance beyond the sliding scale, please email us or contact Ridvan Foxhall at (914) 930-1777. Para asistencia en español, envíenos un correo electrónico o llame a Arianna Hurtado al (914) 930-1777.
NECS will never turn away a family due to an inability to pay. By sponsoring a program or participant, you help us further our mission of inspiring stronger communities through creative programs.
If you withdraw three weeks or more prior to the program start date, your payment will be refunded. If you withdraw one to three weeks before the start date, your payment can be credited toward a future program at no cost or refunded with a 10% cancellation fee. If withdrawal is requested within one week of the start date and we are able to fill the spot, the same policy applies. However, if we are unable to fill the spot, we cannot credit or refund the workshop. Credits may be used for any NECS program within 18 months of the credit date. Credits not used within 18 months will be converted to charitable donations. Within the 18 month period, if you opt to convert a credit into a refund, the 10% cancellation fee will be assessed at that time.
